When you think about the efficiency of solar panels, you probably think about how much sunlight a particular panel converts into electricity. While this is certainly an important consideration for customers choosing a new photovoltaic system, it is certainly not the only aspect of “efficiency” that goes with a high-performance PV system.
In this blog, we look at some of the different variables needed to create an efficient solar installation. We start with how well different panels and panel types convert sunlight into electricity, but we also look at other factors such as planning, installation and maintenance.
But let’s start where the rubber meets the road: the panels themselves.
