LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – The AEP Foundation has donated $ 50,000 to the Laredo arm of Habitat for Humanity.
The funds are part of the Winter Storm Damage Repair Program which aims to help those whose homes were damaged by the severe weather in February.
The organization may be able to assist with roof, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
However, there are some eligibility requirements.
“You have to be a home owner,” said Carol Sherwood. “You cannot be a tenant and ask for help. You have to prove that. You must prove your income. If you have home owner insurance, we ask you to prove that you have already taken that opportunity. “
