We thought it would be helpful to explain how we rank our latest educational news content and how to get involved and understand how to read the latest daily further education news and how we structure our FE week with content:

Most important features

Our main features are exclusive and are thought leadership articles and blue sky thinking with experts writing peer-to-peer news articles about the future of education and the future of work. The focus is on solution-oriented thought leadership, sharing best practices, innovation and emerging strategy. These are often articles about the future of education and the future of work, often they subsequently create future news articles about education. We limit our main characteristics to a maximum of 20 per week, as it often involves new concepts and new thinking processes. Our key features are also exclusive articles that respond to the latest education news, perhaps an expert’s insight into a policy announcement or response to an education think tank report or a whitepaper.

FE votes

FE Voices was originally set up as a section on FE News to give the industry a voice. Since we now have more than 3,000 newsrooms and contributors, FE Voices are mostly articles on thought leadership. They don’t necessarily have to be exclusive, but they are usually a bit shorter than Main Features. FE Voices can add more mixed media to the Further Education News articles, such as embedded podcasts and videos. Our industry response articles asking for different comments and opinions on education policy announcements or responding to a white paper report are usually kept in the FE Voices section. If we have a live podcast in an evening or a radio show like SkillsWorldLive radio show, the next morning we post the FE podcast recording in the FE Voices section.
