Lancaster, Pa.— Armstrong Flooring celebrated the opening of its new tech center here with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new facility is a 33,000-square-foot building and houses approximately 60 employees from the company’s new product development, innovation and engineering teams.
The Technical Center is the first of three buildings in the Greenfield business park that the company will move into in 2021 as part of the relocation of its global headquarters. In addition to the technical center, Armstrong Flooring will move to two adjacent buildings totaling 58,000 square feet this summer, which will provide flexible office space for approximately 200 corporate office workers and feature a 5,000 square foot design showroom.
“As we continue to transform our business and write the next chapter in Armstrong Flooring’s history, we are proud that our roots will remain firmly planted in Lancaster County, especially in such an ideal location as Greenfield,” said Michel Vermette, president and CEO. “Breathing new life into these spaces epitomizes Armstrong Flooring’s resilience over generations and our ability to constantly reinvent ourselves by embracing new sources of inspiration and pursuing what’s next. This move also represents a significant investment in our employees and our future, and one that will lead to collaboration and innovation far beyond the walls of these buildings. “
