Bethel, Eugene, Springfield school boards to hold budget meetings

Bethel and Eugene school boards will meet Monday evening to discuss budgets for the 2021-2022 school year with their budget committees. The Springfield school board will meet regularly to discuss district fundamentals such as superintendent updates and potential HVAC system upgrades in the district.

Bethel School Board

Details: Committee on Budgets Monday 6 pm. Meeting virtual. Zoom information on how people can tune in will be posted on the district website,, Monday at noon.

Points of interest: Budget presentation for 2021-2022

The budget committee, which includes all board members, will be present for a presentation of the proposed budget for the coming school year by Chief Inspector Chris Parra. The committee will also discuss the proposed budget.

Eugene School Board

Springfield School Board

Details: Regular meeting Monday at 7pm. The meeting is held virtually. The public can follow the meeting live via Zoom op or listen by phone at 929-205-6099 with webinar ID 832 6350 1377.

Public comments can be submitted via email to [email protected] by 12:00 noon Monday afternoon with the subject line: “Public Comment: Board Meeting – May 10, 2021.”

Points of interest: Superintendent updates, new HVAC systems

The board will hear from Chief Operations Officer Brett Yancey about options for upgrading / replacing legacy HVAC systems across multiple facilities, according to on-board documents. The board also receives regular updates on the district’s finances and commentary from Chief Superintendent Todd Hamilton.
