Briggs & Stratton acquires energy storage manufacturer SimpliPhi Power

Manufacturer of small engines and generators Briggs & Stratton has come into possession of SimpliPhi Power, a manufacturer of lithium iron phosphate energy storage. This acquisition launches Briggs & Stratton into the energy storage market and expands its portfolio of portable and stationary backup energy products.

Briggs & Stratton plans to offer SimpliPhi Power products through its own distribution channels, in addition to continuing to serve SimpliPhi Power’s existing distribution channels.
