GHAZIABAD: A video is circulating on social media of two youths sitting on the roofs of two moving vehicles, including an SUV, with signs reading ‘Jatav’.
The video shows two young teens and twenty-somethings sitting on the roof of a Mahindra Scorpio and a Maruti Vitara Brezza, both moving. Ghaziabad traffic police have fined the owner of the Brezza Rs 18,000 while the owner of the SUV has yet to be identified.
SP (traffic) Ramanand Kushwaha said the video was captured near Hindon Elevated Road. The police scanned the license plates of the car and identified the owner of the vehicle,
Alka Rani, a resident of Vasundhara Enclave. Alka’s husband Rahul said his cousin deepak (18) had taken the car for a ride a week ago.
“The Scorpio’s license plates are not clearly visible in the video, allowing the police time to track down the owner or driver,” Kushwaha said.
