A successor to IDEEMATEC’s Horizon safeTrack H4, the Horizon L:TEC offers a “zero loss bifacial, tracker solution.” Originally designed as a two-in-portrait solution, IDEEMATEC now offers a 1P solution in response to customer demand.
IDEEMATEC is working to improve system reliability with decoupled drive technology and a new locked gear system for added stability. The new 1P solution can accommodate up to 180 modules, with up to six strings per tracker.
The flexible string configuration allows up to 40 modules per string. It is suitable for all module types, including XL modules.

The Horizon L:TEC can be stowed in a secure position to protect against extreme weather conditions, with the ability to withstand winds up to 110 mph (180 kph). A snow sensor is also available for colder regions.
The drive unit places the table loads directly into the foundation. Only 2.3% of the table’s load is on the drive tube during tracking, the rest is diverted to the post, the company said in a press release.
Once locked, there is no force on the drive tube. This results in a stronger system that is built to last. With L:TEC, IDEEMATEC has reached a length of 640 ft (195 m).
The system is designed with fewer parts and pre-assembled parts to reduce installation time and production costs. L:TEC is also made with uneven terrain in mind.
IDEEMATEC’s Horizon L:TEC tracker is now available as a 1P or a 2P solution and comes standard with a 15-year system warranty for structural and mechanical components. In addition to the 15 year system warranty, IDEEMATEC guarantees the construction against perforation corrosion for a period of 25 years – based on the corrosion classification of the project.
