Dalton – Jay Smith joined Shaw Industries Group Inc. to lead the builder / multifamily division as vice president of sales. In his new role, Shaw said Smith will lead the company’s division and regional vice presidents, along with their teams of territory managers, in synergizing specification and building relationships with floor contractors.

Smith joined Shaw with a deep understanding of technical, professional and industry practices essential to position its products and services for future business growth, the company said. According to the company, Smith recently played a key role as president of the FloorExpo Group in scaling and operating the largest multi-family and contractor purchasing cooperative with five operating divisions and 750 locations.
