Lena Headey joins HBO Watergate drama The White House Plumbers

Game of Thrones alum Lena Headey is the latest to join HBO’s upcoming Watergate miniseries The plumbers at the White House, which follows the infamous political scandal that Richard Nixon was president. She Joins Woody Harrelson (Venom: Let There Be Carnage), Justin Theroux (Based on sex) and Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars: The Rise of SkywalkerIn the series.

The plumbers at the White House tells “the true story of how Nixon’s own political saboteurs and Watergate masterminds, E. Howard Hunt (Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Theroux), inadvertently overthrew the presidency they were diligently trying to protect.”

Headey will play Dorothy Hunt. A mother of four and active CIA possession, Dorothy tries to keep her family together as she entangles herself in the disastrous misfortunes of her husband (Harrelson).

The plumbers at the White House is a co-production between HBO and wiip that was created by Veep executive producers Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck. Also comes from across Veep is David Mandel, who co-directs and executive produces the series with Gregory, Huyck and Frank Rich. David Bernard also produces through the production company The District next door Venom director Ruben Fleischer.
