Opdenergy will build a 92-MW solar project in West Virginia for AEP utility

Independent energy producer Opdenergy will develop a 92 MW solar power project in Jefferson County, West Virginia for American Electric Power (AEP). The two parties have signed a 12-year PPA for 100% of the electricity generated.

“We are very pleased to sign this agreement with such a great partner in the US as AEP Energy,” said Luis Cid, CEO of Opdenergy. “This project will be a very positive endeavor for both businesses and the local community. We will continue to work to strengthen our position in a market as important as the United States and to contribute to the implementation and development of clean energy in the country. “

The installation is expected to be connected by the end of 2022.
