TEXARKANA, Texas – Bonnie Moreland’s former Golden Star Tire has found new ownership.

The property was bought by Winston Water Cooler Plumbing Supply Store. Interior renovation is underway and utilities are being reworked and upgraded, such as power and data lines.

The owners, led by Tina Foster, managing partner and former resident of Hooks, Texas, have decided the Texas Boulevard property is the place for Winston Water Cooler of Texarkana, Ltd., to set up a retail store.

“We’ve been operating from a rented space on Robison Road for five years and we decided it was time to take ownership of our space,” said Jim Davidson, partner.

Winston Water Cooler Plumbing Supply consists of 30 companies. Davidson makes it clear that they are not a chain, but more of a partnership, involved in plumbing wholesale and related supply shows.

“We are getting the job done and waiting for our certificate of appeal,” he said. “We aim to be fully relocated and set up by the end of April.”

Work to prepare the former Gouden Band for the new company started in mid-February.

Winston Water Cooler Plumbing Supply is mainly located in Texas.

However, they have outlets in Arizona, Las Vegas, and Las Cruces, New Mexico.

“It is exciting for us to settle in this new location and it is important that we are invested locally,” said Davidson.
