Derek Kraus won his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series pole in Friday’s qualifying session at Nashville Superspeedway.
Jack Wood, in his third Truck Series career, will start second.
Several top drivers had a hard time in qualifying. Points leader John Hunter Nemechek was not assigned his time after turning around before taking the green flag in front of his lap after wobbling in turns 3 and 4. Ross Chastain and defending champion Sheldon Creed will start 23rd and 24th respectively. And Todd Gilliland, a winner this season, failed to hit the track after a failed pre-qualifying inspection.
