SMA adds advanced string monitoring and other features to Sunny Tripower CORE1 inverter

SMA America has released an update for the Sunny Tripower CORE1. The update not only includes several innovative offerings – such as intelligent IV curve diagnosis and advanced string monitoring – but also features that increase reliability and power production.

An improvement is SMA’s intelligent IV curve diagnostics, which tests the health of the inverter strings during critical phases in the plant life cycle, including commissioning and scheduled maintenance. This feature easily sends reports to the EPC, the system owner and other stakeholders. The Sunny Tripower has accelerated diagnostic capability and reduces costs and complexity.

New, advanced string-level monitoring ensures all strings work as expected with automated production monitoring. This feature compares granular power production data, ensuring optimal system performance.

“We are constantly looking for ways to empower our customers by delivering industry-leading solutions,” said Nick Morbach, Executive VP Home & Business Solutions at SMA Solar Technology. “The CORE1 update does just that, giving our customers even greater insight into system health and ultimately greater energy production.”

A popular feature that remains unchanged in the CORE1 is ShadeFix optimization. This breakthrough technology provides superior power production with a lower number of components compared to alternatives, meaning maximum reliability and value.
