SolarEdge Technologies has announced commercial availability of the SolarEdge Energy Bank residential battery in North America. The highly efficient DC-coupled battery provides 9.7 kWh of backup power and can be connected in parallel with up to eight additional batteries for a total of nine, providing up to 87 kWh of backup capacity and future compatibility with third-party generators.
SolarEdge also announced the availability of its new SolarEdge Energy Hub Inverter models ranging from 7.6 kW to 11.4 kW PV power and 10.3 kW backup power, with 200% DC oversizing for increased home energy yield. The Energy Hub high back-up power inverters simplify installation by reducing the need for Main Panel Upgrades (MPU) and shorten installation time by wirelessly connecting the SolarEdge Energy Bank battery and a variety of smart energy devices, including the SolarEdge Home EV Charger.
Both the SolarEdge Energy Hub inverter and the SolarEdge Energy Bank battery are part of the new SolarEdge complete residential solution called SolarEdge Home, an intelligent smart energy management system that enables homeowners to control the production, consumption and backup storage of solar energy in real time. better manage and monitor. The SolarEdge Home system is controlled from the mySolarEdge mobile app, which helps prioritize taxes based on homeowner preferences, and applies smart algorithms to help make economic decisions, taking into account external factors such as weather conditions.
“The need for reliable backup power for the home has never been greater,” said Peter Mathews, CEO of SolarEdge, North America. “We’ve developed an integrated solar and battery solution that enables easier and faster installation time and allows homeowners to power more of their daily lives with clean, renewable energy.”
The SolarEdge Energy Bank battery and new SolarEdge Energy Hub inverter models are now available to order in North America.
