Summer is the season for plumbing maintenance – Buckrail
JACKSON, Wyo – The sun is shining and it’s summer, which means many flock to the water to cool off and unplug. But summer is also a great time to think about the water that flows through your home. JB Sanitary is here to help with all domestic and commercial plumbing needs.
Plumbing in the home should be inspected regularly, says Henry Scroughams, general manager of JB Plumbing, at least once a year.
“It’s always a good idea to have trained professionals come to your home,” Scroughams said.
JB Sanitair can carry out inspections of the entire house, maintain and replace boilers, fix leaks and more. They are the problem solvers of all things plumbing.
Have you flushed your water hose yet? You should, Scroughams said. Build up of minerals and sediment and can clog water pipes.
What about your check valves? Those are the valves that allow water to get into your home, but not out. By ensuring that these activities keep the water in your area clean.
There are signs to look for that it may be time for some maintenance. More obvious are leaks, drips and sewage smell. Mold and mildew can also illustrate that something is wrong. Are your faucets and shower heads getting dirty? Your water is probably too hard, meaning it’s full of minerals that cause buildup. JB Plumbing offers water filtration and softening systems to prevent that. Does your water look milky when you pour it and clear over time? That is air, and it is a sign that there may be a leak in your pipes.
Even without these signs, Scroughams says it’s always a good idea to have your home inspected regularly. Staying on top of your plumbing can help you avoid problems down the road.
JB Sanitair can also install and repair gas installations! They work in old houses, new houses and commercial spaces.
“We have a qualified, friendly crew of service technicians ready to assist you,” said Scroughams.
