P. Will Miller83, St. Augustine, died at home surrounded by his loving family on May 27, 2021. Born April 19, 1938 in Spangler, son of the late Elmer A. and Annie J. (Anna) Miller. In death preceded by these brothers and sisters; Clarence, James, Hilda Williams, Dorothy Himes, Laverne Ives, Cyril, Harold “Hark”, John and Lloyd. Survived by a 57-year-old woman, the former Betty Ann Mulligan whom he married in St. Augustine on October 5, 1963, son, Dr. Russell P. Miller and his wife, the former Lori Kosicki, siblings; Alene (Earl) Smithmyer from Ashville, Thomas from Bellwood, David (Mary Jane Nelson) from Ashville, Patricia from Ashville and Gary (Patty Chverchko) from Ashville, sisters-in-law; Delores Miller from Ashville and Sandy Huber from Altoona. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Will loved to read and enjoyed the outdoors through the joys of hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, birdwatching, riding his four-wheeler, and chopping firewood for the winter. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he learned plumbing and pipe fittings. Will was a lifelong member of UA Local 354 Plumbers & Pipefitters. He retired from SCI, Smithfield as a plumbing instructor in 2001. A member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church, where he served as a minister extraordinary, an usher, and was always involved in church projects and activities, and as a plumber for the meetinghouses for many years. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Rev. Jerzy Augustick OFM, Celebrant. Committal, Church Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, where a vigil will be held Tuesday afternoon.
